Clinical cases in oncofertility.

چکیده
A case-based approach to medical education is a very effective strategy to reinforce medical concepts and demonstrate how they might be applied to clinical situations. In that vein, this chapter presents a series of actual clinical scenarios described by practitioners in the fi eld of oncofertility. They highlight important concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this text and illustrate current strategies in the care of oncofertility patients. Because the number of complex fertility preservation cases at any single center may be limited, there is value in providing a series of cases from multiple contributors in this book. An increased awareness of the complex issues involved in oncofertility practice should help prepare clinicians for some of the challenges posed by this rapidly expanding discipline. It is important to recognize that individualized care is critical in order to minimize the risks associated with fertility preservation and maximize the future reproductive options for patients.
